Sheema Khan was born in India and moved to Canada in the 1960s. She later earned a Masters in Physics and a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics at Harvard. She is a Scientist and a person of Faith, and she insists that these are mutually exclusive. Sheema is currently a Patent Agent with Shapiro Cohen LLP, and monthly columnist for the national Newspaper, the Globe and Mail. She Authored the book "Of Hockey and Hijab”, and her interests include hockey, soccer and feminism.

We first met Sheema during preparation of her 2016 TEDx Talk which deeply touched the audience and earned a long, powerful standing ovation. Not only is she a compelling speaker and writer, but Sheema has a unique and refreshing perspective on the Commonalities that we all share.
